Pike fishing season 2012 : be ready for it !

Well… sorry for that delay but the season has been busy… a lot of nice catches but unfortunately nothing HUGE… many fish lost due to bad connection between lure and line… during a guiding, my customer lost a 110cm (estimated) pike because of a “soft” quick lock snap. Well… time to watch pictures !

 

The weather has been really really warm in July. Several days ago the water’s temperature was at 25°C !!!

Pikes were hanging around weeds and the best way to catch them was soft plastic lures on texan hook and a stiff rod to set the hook firmly in middle of this heavy cover.

Since 2 days the temperature decresead, it’s now 18°Cin the water and barely 12°C outside. I’ll go out fishing when the cold rain will stop and I think that the big predators will start be hungry again !
